The Woozle effect is when people think something is true because they hear it said a lot, rather than because they have evidence that it is true. For example, if you hear somebody say, "Everybody knows that the woosel is a pink animal with a long trunk," then you might think that the woosel is a real animal, even though you don't know anything about it yourself. That's the Woozle effect: it's when people think something is true just because they hear it a lot, even if they don't have proof that it's true.
