Okay kiddo, so let's talk about Acts 1. The book of Acts is part of the Bible and it tells us about the early days of the Christian Church.
In Acts 1, we learn about what happened after Jesus died and rose from the dead. First, He appeared to His disciples and talked to them about the kingdom of God. Then, He told them to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Holy Spirit, which would help them spread His message to the world.
So the disciples stayed in Jerusalem and chose a new disciple to replace Judas, who had betrayed Jesus. Then, they saw Jesus rise up into heaven and disappear. This was called the Ascension.
After that, the disciples continued to pray and wait for the Holy Spirit. They were all together in one place when suddenly they heard a sound like a rushing wind and saw tongues of fire appear above their heads. This was the Holy Spirit coming upon them.
With the Holy Spirit's help, the disciples began to speak in different languages and were able to share the message of Jesus with people from all over the world who had come to Jerusalem for a Jewish festival.
So Acts 1 is all about the beginning of the Christian Church and how the disciples were empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Jesus' message with the world.
