Alkaline battery

An alkaline battery is a special kind of battery that makes things that use electricity work. The battery has two ends called the positive and negative terminals. When we put the battery in a toy or a flashlight, the electricity flows from the negative terminal to the positive terminal, and this is what gives our toy or flashlight the energy it needs to work.

Inside the battery, there are different kinds of materials that help make the electricity. The materials are called chemicals, and they are usually different for each kind of battery. Alkaline batteries are a very popular kind of battery because they are easy to find in most stores and can be used for a lot of different things. They are also quite safe to use but we should always be careful not to put the battery in the wrong way or try to open it up, as this can be dangerous.
