ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Amphicar

An amphicar is a special kind of car that can drive on the road like a normal car, but can also float on water like a boat! This is because amphicars are designed with special features that allow them to move both on land and in water.

The amphicar has a special body that is waterproof, meaning that it won't get damaged when it's in water. It also has a propeller and rudder, which are like the oars on a boat. The car has big tires that help it move easily in water and also supports it when it's on land.

When an amphicar is in the water, the driver uses the steering wheel and pedals, just like in a car. But instead of driving on a road, they are steering the car on the water. Even the brakes work the same way in the water as they do on land.

However, amphicars are not as fast as regular boats, nor as comfortable as normal cars. They are designed to be used for short distances on calm water. That means, they are best for getting from one place to another quickly, without having to worry about any bridges or obstacles along the way.

Overall, amphicars are a really cool combination of a car and a boat, that allow you to drive on the road and swim in water all in one. If you ever get the chance to ride in one, it will definitely be a unique and exciting experience!
