Annunciation

The annunciation is a story from the Bible about when an angel named Gabriel visited a woman named Mary to tell her that she was going to have a very special baby named Jesus.

Imagine you are playing with your toys and suddenly someone comes to tell you that something amazing is going to happen to you. That's what happened to Mary when the angel Gabriel visited her.

Gabriel told Mary that God had chosen her to be the mother of Jesus and that the baby would be very important. He would save people from their sins and become a king. Mary was surprised and a little scared at first, but she believed the angel and was happy to do what God asked of her.

So, the annunciation is a story about when an angel told Mary that she would have a very special baby named Jesus who would be important to God and to many people.
