Artificial selection

Artificial selection is when people choose which animals or plants to breed together to produce new kinds of plants and animals with certain traits. For example, humans might breed two kinds of chickens to produce chickens that lay more eggs or are bigger in size. Artificial selection is similar to natural selection, which is when nature (weather, disease, etc.) chooses which plants or animals survive and reproduce.
