Blend word

A blend word is when two words are mixed together to make a new, shorter word that has parts of both original words in it. Imagine you have a chocolate brownie and a cookie. You can take the "chocolate" from the brownie and the "cookie" from the cookie and blend them together to make a new word: "brookie." This new word is shorter than saying "chocolate brownie and cookie" and it gives you an idea of what kind of dessert it might be. Blend words can be used for lots of things, like naming new products, making up new vocabulary words, or just being silly and creative with language.
