Burakumin

Burakumin is a group of people who live in Japan and have historically been discriminated against because of their family background. It all started a long time ago when people in Japan believed that certain jobs were dirty or impure, like jobs that involved handling dead animals or leather. People who did these jobs were called "eta", which means "filthy" or "impure". Over time, their families were also seen as impure, and this group became known as "burakumin".

Nowadays, many people in Japan don't believe in this discrimination anymore, but some still do. This means that some burakumin still face discrimination, like being excluded from jobs or being treated badly by other people just because of their family background.

It's not fair to discriminate against anyone just because of who their family is or the job they do. Everyone should be treated equally, no matter what.
