Baekjeong

Baekjeong is a Korean word for a type of restaurant that specializes in cooking meat, especially beef and pork.

Imagine you are at a big barbecue party with your favorite foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken. Now imagine a place where they cook the meat for you, and you don't have to do any cooking or cleaning up afterwards. That place is called a baekjeong!

Baekjeong restaurants use special grills called galbi-gui, which are built into the tables so you can cook your meat right in front of you. They also have special marinated beef, pork and other meats that make them taste especially yummy.

At a baekjeong, there are usually lots of side dishes, like rice, veggies, and kimchi to eat with your meat.

So next time you want to have a fun and yummy meal with friends or family, think about going to a baekjeong!
