Climate finance

Climate finance is money that is used to help stop or reduce climate change. Climate change is when the Earth's temperature is getting warmer. This is happening because too much of some gases, like Carbon Dioxide, are in the air. To help reduce climate change, governments around the world, such as the United States, China, and India, use money to invest in programs and projects that will help reduce these gases or use energy from sources that don't create these gases. Money created from taxes (money people pay to the government) can be used to fund these projects and programs. This money is called climate finance. Climate finance can also help people who are affected by climate change, like people who have had their homes destroyed by floods or hurricanes. The money can help them rebuild their homes.
