ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Code word (figure of speech)

A code word (or figure of speech) is a way of talking about something without directly saying it. For example, if someone is looking for a job, you might say, "I know someone who's hunting for a new opportunity", instead of saying, "I know someone who's looking for a job". By using a code word, it makes it less obvious what you're really talking about.
