Colonization of Antarctica means people going to live in Antarctica. Nobody lives in Antarctica because it is so cold and there are no cities or towns. That's why it is called an "uncontaminated" continent - it hasn't been changed by humans! But some people want to go and explore and do science there, so they go and stay at research stations set up by their countries or organizations. They study the land, ice, animals, and plants to learn more about how the world works. Some people also travel to Antarctica for tourism, but not many people do it because it's so dangerous and expensive.
