Crony capitalism

Crony capitalism is when people in powerful positions, like politicians or businesses, use their power to make special rules that benefit them and their friends or harm other people or businesses. It means that instead of everyone getting a fair chance, some people get a special advantage. For example, a politician might give their friend a contract to build a school even though someone else had a better idea, just because they are friends.
