Democracy

Democracy is a type of government where all the people in a country get to decide together how the country should be run. Instead of having one ruler, like a king, making all the decisions, everyone gets a say. Every person can vote on an issue or decide who should be in charge. By having a democracy, all the people in a country are working together to make the best choices for everyone.
