Demoralization (warfare) is when a country or group tries to weaken their opponents by making them feel hopeless and defeated. This often happens during wars, when one country or group tries to break the morale of their opponents. They might do things like, bomb civilian areas, block people from getting food and other essentials, spread false or negative information, or even threaten and intimidate families. All of these tactics are used to make the people on the other side feel like they don't stand a chance, and will eventually give up.
