Disability advocacy

Disability advocacy is about making sure that people with disabilities are treated fairly and given the same opportunities as everyone else. It's like when you and your friend are playing a game and you want to make sure that everyone gets to play and has a chance to win.

Some people have disabilities that make it harder for them to do things like walk, hear, or see. But just because they have a disability, it doesn't mean they can't do things! Disability advocacy is about helping them find ways to do things that work for them.

For example, someone who uses a wheelchair may need a ramp or elevator to get into a building. Or someone who is deaf may need a sign language interpreter to understand what people are saying. Disability advocates work to make sure these things are available and that people with disabilities are included and valued in society.

Overall, disability advocacy is about making sure everyone has an equal chance to be their best selves and do what they love, no matter what their abilities are.
