Diwali is an important Hindu holiday. It usually falls around the months of October or November. On Diwali, people light up their houses with lots of colorful lights, candles, and clay lamps called diyas. People also exchange gifts, eat lots of yummy treats and pray to the gods for a healthy and peaceful life. The most important part of Diwali is spending time with your family and friends. Gift-giving, eating delicious food and enjoying fireworks are all a part of the celebration. Diwali is a reminder that good will always overcomes evil, and light will always conquer darkness!
