ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electronegativity

Electronegativity is a measure of how strongly an atom in a molecule will attract and hold on to electrons. Atoms with higher electronegativity attract electrons more strongly than atoms with lower electronegativity. It's like magnets - some magnets are really strong and other magnets are not so strong. Electronegativity is like this too - some atoms are really good at attracting electrons and other atoms are not so good.
