Energy policy

Energy policy are the rules and laws that people make to control the way energy, like electricity and gasoline, are made and used. For example, energy policies can say when an energy company can build a new power plant to make electricity, what kind of pollution an energy company can make when making energy, how energy companies must treat the environment, and how much energy customers must pay for. Energy policies help people make sure that energy is made responsibly and fairly.
