ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Entropy (order and disorder)

Entropy is a measure of the amount of order and disorder. To explain it simply, think of a kitchen. A kitchen that is tidy and all the dishes are put away is like when entropy is low - it is an orderly, organised place. But if the kitchen is messy, with dishes on the counter and all over the floor, that would be like when entropy is high - it is a disorganized and chaotic place.
