Evolutionary epistemology is a way of thinking about knowledge. It says that the way animals and humans figure out things in the world is the same way plants, animals and other creatures have been doing it for millions of years - by trying new things, seeing what works and what doesn’t, and passing the knowledge down from generation to generation. Just like new generations of animals get better at catching food or avoiding danger than their parents, knowledge can improve over time and be passed down, too. This means that the knowledge in our brain is also a product of evolution.
