Extensive farming

Okay kiddo, so extensive farming is when farmers use A LOT of land to grow their crops or raise their animals. Think of it like a giant playground for plants and animals!

See, some farmers might only have a small piece of land, like a backyard, to grow things on. But with extensive farming, they have big fields or pastures to work with. This means they can plant a lot of crops or raise a lot of animals at the same time.

But having all that land also means that the farmers have to work really hard to take care of everything. They have to make sure the soil is healthy and fertile for their crops to grow, and give their animals enough space and food to be healthy too.

Extensive farming can be pretty different from other types of farming, like intensive farming where farmers try to grow a lot of crops in a small area. But both types of farming are important because they help provide us with food and other things we need to live our everyday lives!
