Okay, so in Ezekiel 17, there is a story about two birds and a tree. The first bird is a great eagle that takes the top branch of a tall cedar tree and carries it to a distant land to plant it. The second bird is a vine eagle that grows from a seed into a vine and wraps itself around the cedar tree.
The moral of this story is that the great eagle represents Babylon and the cedar tree represents King Jehoiachin of Judah. Babylon takes King Jehoiachin from Jerusalem to Babylon as a prisoner, but promises to let him go if he does what they want. However, Jehoiachin decides to rebel against Babylon and they end up punishing him by keeping him in captivity.
The vine eagle represents Zedekiah, who was made king of Judah by Babylon after they took Jehoiachin. Zedekiah promised to be loyal to Babylon, but later he secretly made alliances with Egypt to try and rebel against Babylon. This ended up causing a lot of trouble and destruction for Judah.
So, the story of the two birds and the tree is a warning to people to be loyal and careful in their alliances with others, especially when it comes to politics and governing. Otherwise, there can be consequences and negative outcomes for everyone involved.
