ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ezekiel 29

Dear little one,

Ezekiel 29 is a chapter in the Bible where God talks to His people about Egypt. God tells them that He will punish Egypt because they had been so mean to God's people, the Israelites. God had already punished them before, but they did not learn their lesson. So, God said He would do it again.

God used a lot of words that may be hard to understand, like "crocodile" and "dragon." But basically, God was saying that Egypt was like a big strong animal who thought they could do whatever they wanted and be safe. But God was going to overpower them and show them who was in charge.

God does not like it when people are mean to each other. He wants everyone to be kind and respectful. So, He sometimes has to punish those who are being mean to others. It is important to be kind to everyone, even those we may not agree with or like, because that is what God wants us to do.

I hope this helps you understand a little bit about Ezekiel 29 and why God punishes those who are mean to others. Remember to always be kind and treat others with love, no matter what.
