Fleet tracking

Fleet tracking is when companies keep an eye on their vehicles and drivers using a special system that sends information to a computer or phone. It's like playing a game on your tablet but instead of a game, you can see where your cars or trucks are driving around.

This is helpful for businesses that have a lot of trucks, delivery vans, or cars, because they can make sure their drivers are not lost, driving too slow or too fast, or wasting time visiting places they're not supposed to.

The system uses something called GPS, which stands for Global Positioning System. GPS is like a map, but it's in space where no one can touch it. There are a lot of small devices that sit in your vehicle and listen for GPS signals from space. When they hear those signals, they record their position on the planet and send it to the company's computer. This way, the company can see where all its vehicles are at any time and make sure they're going where they're supposed to.

Fleet tracking can also help companies save money by reducing fuel usage, overtime and other expenses. The business can use the system to see if a particular driver is using a lot of fuel, driving too late or speeding, and then figure out a way to fix the problem. That helps the driver do better, save money for the company and even help you buy more ice cream!
