G-Tube

A g-tube, also called a gastrostomy tube, is a small tube that is put into your tummy. This helps people who can't swallow food or drink, or who have a hard time eating enough. The tube is put in through a small hole made in the tummy, and goes straight into the stomach.

The g-tube is used to give food, liquid, and medicine directly to the stomach. This way, the body gets the nutrients it needs and stays healthy. The g-tube can be used for a short time or for a long time, depending on why it was put in.

Having a g-tube can make life easier for people who have trouble eating or can't eat at all. They can still eat and drink, but they don't have to use their mouth to do it. The g-tube is a special tool that helps the body get the things it needs to stay healthy.
