Gag order

A gag order is like when your parents tell you to keep a secret and not tell anyone else, like your sister or your friends. It's when a judge tells people involved in a case, like lawyers or witnesses or even the media, that they're not allowed to talk about certain things.

It's like keeping a really big secret so that nobody gets too much information about something that's going on. It's done so that the court case can be as fair as possible and everyone has equal chances of succeeding.
