Geothermal electricity

Geothermal electricity is a kind of electricity that is generated from heat that comes from the earth. Just like how your body produces heat, the Earth itself also generates heat from its core, which is the center of the Earth. This heat can be harnessed and turned into electricity.

To do that, people drill deep down into the ground to find hot water and steam, which are formed by the heat of the Earth's core. They bring this hot water and steam up to the surface and use it to power turbines that generate electricity. Think of it like a big machine that turns the heat into energy we can use.

This type of electricity is very sustainable because the heat from the earth is renewable, meaning it never runs out. Geothermal electricity is also very clean because it doesn't produce greenhouse gases which are harmful to the environment.

So, geothermal electricity is a type of energy we can use from the heat of the earth. It's renewable, sustainable and doesn't harm the environment.
