Glycomics

Glycomics is like a jigsaw puzzle. In order to understand it, we need to think about all the different pieces: sugars! Our bodies are made of different types of sugars called glycans. Scientists use glycomics to study these different types of glycans and how they fit together like pieces in a puzzle. They also use it to understand how these sugars interact with other molecules in our bodies and how they can be used to make useful things like medicines.
