ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Handwriting recognition

Handwriting recognition is a way for computers to understand written words. A computer looks at the way you write each letter, like a signature. It then looks for patterns to recognize what each letter looks like and what each word looks like when it’s put together. The computer can then read your writing and turn it into type or digital letters. This way, you don’t have to type out each word, you can just write it down and the computer can do the rest!
