Hegemony

Hegemony is when one group or country is more powerful than all the other groups or countries. It means that one group has more control or influence over those that are less powerful. For example, if one country is bigger and wealthier than all the other countries in a certain region, it might be said to have hegemony over that region because it is the most important and influential country in the area.
