History of France

France is a country that is located in Europe. It is shaped like a hexagon and it is a beautiful country with a lot of history. France has been around for a very long time, even longer than you can imagine.

Thousands of years ago, there were different people who lived in France, such as the Gauls and the Romans. They built cities and towns, and they fought with each other. The Romans stayed in France for a long time, and they built many wonderful things that we can still see today.

In the Middle Ages, France was ruled by kings and queens. These kings and queens built grand castles and palaces, and they had knights who protected them. France became a very powerful country during this time, and many people came to France to see all the amazing things that were happening there.

During the Renaissance, France became even more powerful. This was a time when people started to become interested in art, music, and literature. Many famous writers, painters, and musicians came from France during the Renaissance.

In the 18th century, France went through a big change called the French Revolution. This was a time when the people of France wanted to change the way the country was run. They wanted everyone to have equal rights, and they wanted to get rid of the king and queen. The revolution was a very violent time, but eventually, the people were able to create a new government that was more fair for everyone.
