In-group favoritism

In-group favoritism means that someone favors people they know or that are part of their "group." For example, people might help their friends or family more than they help those outside of their group. Maybe a parent gives their child more attention than their neighbor’s children. Maybe a coach plays their own players more than players from other teams. This is in-group favoritism - favoring people in your group over those who are not.
