Integrated circuits are like tiny buildings that are built out of thousands of tiny pieces called transistors. Transistors are special pieces that can switch on and off like a light switch. The integrated circuit is like a mini-city, with lots of different buildings that all do different jobs. The buildings in the city have electronic parts like resistors, capacitors, and diodes, which help the circuit control electric signals. All the different buildings in the city work together to make the integrated circuit work.
