Intersectionality is a way of thinking about how all of the different parts of who we are can affect how we experience things. For example, when thinking about how we experience race, we could think about how our gender, class, sexual orientation, or other parts of our identity can interact with and shape how we experience racism. Intersectionality is a way of understanding how the different parts of our identity intersect and work together, so that we can better understand how we are treated in society.
