ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Irrelevant conclusion

Okay kiddo, so sometimes people argue about things and they say things that don't really have anything to do with what they're talking about. We call this an "irrelevant conclusion."

It's kind of like if you were talking about your favorite ice cream flavor and someone started talking about how much they like cars. Cars might be really cool, but it doesn't really have anything to do with ice cream.

So when people use an irrelevant conclusion, they are basically trying to distract you from the main topic or confuse you. It's like if someone tried to play a trick on you by talking about something else instead of what you were actually talking about.

But don't worry, if you're paying attention and thinking clearly, you can spot when someone is using an irrelevant conclusion and make sure you stay focused on what really matters.
