Kibinai

Okay, so do you like eating pastry? Because kibinai is a type of pastry that is really tasty and comes from Lithuania, which is a country far away in Europe.

Kibinai are like little pies with a special dough that is made from flour, water, and sometimes milk. Inside the pastry, there can be different fillings like ground meat, onion or cheese.

First, the dough is rolled out into a circle shape, kind of like how you make pizza. Then the filling is added to the middle of the circle. The dough is folded over to cover the filling and pinched together to make a seal.

Next, the pastry is baked in an oven until it's cooked all the way through and the outside is crispy and golden brown.

People in Lithuania like to eat kibinai for lunch or dinner, and sometimes they even have them as a snack. They can be eaten hot or cold and are usually served with sour cream or other sauces.

So, that's what kibinai are - a delicious pastry from Lithuania filled with meat, cheese, or onion. Yum!
