Lawful interception

Lawful interception is when a police or other law enforcement officer is allowed to listen in to your phone calls, read your emails and text messages, or watch what you do on the internet. It is used to help them catch bad guys and keep people safe. It is only allowed when they are investigating very serious crimes and they need to get information to help them find out what happened.
