Mail (armour)

Ok, so imagine you're getting ready to go outside and play with your friends. You put on your clothes and shoes to protect your body, right?

Well, a long time ago, people who went to war also needed protection. They would wear something called mail armor to protect their bodies.

Mail armor is made up of lots of tiny rings that are linked together, sort of like chainmail. These rings are made of metal, usually steel.

The rings are woven together so that they overlap and form a strong protective layer around the person wearing it. This helps protect the person from being cut or stabbed with swords or other weapons during battle.

Nowadays, people don't really wear mail armor anymore because there are other kinds of armor that work better. But it's still really cool to see and learn about!
