ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Minister of the Crown

Okay kiddo, let me explain what a Minister of the Crown is. Imagine our country is like a big house with lots of rooms. Each room represents a different part of the government, like the room for health care, the room for education, the room for transportation, and so on.

Now, the Minister of the Crown is like the boss of one of those rooms. They are in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly and making decisions about what should happen in that room.

But here's the thing - the Minister of the Crown doesn't just work in their own room. They actually work with all the other Ministers of the Crown to make decisions about what's best for the whole house (country). They meet with the boss of the whole house (the Prime Minister) to talk about what's happening in their rooms and figure out how to work together on important things.

So, basically, a Minister of the Crown is a really important person in our government who helps make decisions to make our country a better place to live in.
