Nanjing Massacre

The Nanjing Massacre was a terrible event that happened in China during World War II. In December 1937, Japanese soldiers entered the city of Nanjing (sometimes spelled Nanking). They killed many people and destroyed many buildings. They also hurt and killed many women and children. Thousands of people were killed and many more were injured. It is estimated that more than 300,000 people died during the Nanjing Massacre.
