ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Natural theology

Natural theology is a way people use to understand and explain religious and spiritual beliefs without using holy books or other religious texts. It is the study of God, or a higher power, by looking at what we observe in the world around us. People believe that by looking at plants, animals, and other aspects of nature, we can learn something about what God or a higher power is like. For example, we might observe the beauty of a sunset and think it reflects something of God's beauty. Or we might think that the way plants and animals work together shows something about how God designed the world.
