Occultation

Occultation is like when something passes in front of something else. It happens a lot in space! For example, when the moon passes in front of a star, it is called an occultation. This is because the moon covers up the star and you can't see the star anymore. When a bigger object like a planet covers up something smaller like a star, it's also called occultation.
