Passive-aggressive behavior is a way of behaving that makes somebody feel bad about themselves without saying it directly. For example, imagine you asked your best friend for help to do something. Instead of saying "no, I don't want to help you", your friend might say "I don't have time right now" or might just ignore you. This isn't being honest, and it might make you feel bad without understanding why. Passive-aggressive behavior usually happens because people don't want to say how they really feel.
