Pedant

A pedant is someone who likes to correct other people's mistakes, especially when it comes to language or grammar. Think of the teacher who always tells you to use proper punctuation, or the friend who can't help but point out your spelling errors in a text message. They are like little detectives who love to catch errors and fix them so that everything is neat and tidy. Sometimes, pedants can be helpful, because they make sure that we communicate clearly and effectively. But other times, they can be a bit annoying, because nobody likes to be corrected all the time!
