Politics of the Republic of China, also known as Taiwan, is about how the government makes and carries out decisions. To understand, you can think about it like a family. The president and his or her cabinet is like the parents, making all the important decisions. The legislature, which includes members elected by the people, acts like the kids and their friends deciding on how to do things, like how much money to spend on supplies for a project. The people of the Republic of China choose their president and legislators by voting. That's like all the kids in the family getting together and picking which friend they want to lead their project.
