Post-Soviet states

A post-Soviet state is a country that used to be part of the Soviet Union, which was in power from 1922-1991. After the Soviet Union fell apart, these countries became independent countries with their own governments. Many of the post-Soviet states are located in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Some examples of post-Soviet states are Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
