ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Primary forest

Alright kiddo, let me explain what a primary forest is.

Have you ever gone for a walk in a forest? Well, a primary forest is a forest that was there for a very long time, like since a great-great-great-grandfather's time.

These forests have lots of trees and plants and animals that have been living there for many, many years. In fact, some of the trees can be hundreds or even thousands of years old!

What's really special about these forests is that they haven't been changed by people too much. No one has cut down lots of trees or cleared the land to make space for buildings. This means that they still have all the things that make a forest a great place for animals and plants to live, like lots of space, clean air, and fresh water.

So, in summary, a primary forest is a really old forest that hasn't been messed with too much by people and is full of plants and animals that have been there for a long, long time.
