Public housing is a type of housing where people who don't have enough money can live. The government pays for public housing so that people who don't have enough money can still have a place to live. The government also helps these people pay for things like food and electricity by giving them money. Public housing is like a big apartment building with lots of apartments in it and people in it. People share the building and they have their own rooms (or apartments). Everyone pays rent to the government, and the government pays it to the landlord.
