ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reformism

Reformism is the idea that society can be changed in positive ways by making small improvements in our laws and systems. It is like fixing a broken leg by wearing a cast and doing physical therapy. Instead of completely rebuilding the leg, the physical therapy helps fix the injury so we can go back to running, walking, or any activity that was hard to do before with the broken leg. In the same way, reformism tries to make life better for people by making small changes in laws and systems. For example, if a city wanted to make their transportation system better, the government might set up bus routes with more frequency, build better bike lanes, or open more bike-share stations. These are all small changes, but they can improve the lives of the people in the city over time.
